Surf Lessons

I made a promise to myself when I decided to move to Australia. I was going to learn to surf. So for my 30th birthday, we spent the weekend down on the Gold Coast. While we were there, I signed us both up for a surf lesson on Saturday morning. We did part of our lessons on the sand, learning about the rip and what not to do in it. A few minutes practicing popping up on the board and then it was time to get in the water.

It was a fun, but exhausting experience and I have since purchased my own surfboard. I may not be shredding anything, but I’m going out and getting tossed around like a champ.

*we had the surf school take our pictures, since a go pro isn’t in my bag yet; neither is a waterproof housing.
