A quick video blog from Zack Arias that he produced in lieu of writing a post on Scott Kelby’s Guest Blog from 2009. Having lived in Atlanta for 10 years, knowing Zack was just up the road was always motivating. I’ve personally never met Zack, but have only myself to blame for that. I feel like relate to what he says and how he approaches his work. I really enjoy this vlog, I watch it whenever I see someone else’s work that I look at and say “What am I doing? I can’t compete with that. I suck at this.” Enjoy.
I made a promise to myself when I decided to move to Australia. I was going to learn to surf. So for my 30th birthday, we spent the weekend down on the Gold Coast. While we were there, I signed us both up for a surf lesson on Saturday morning. We did part of our lessons on the sand, learning about the rip and what not to do in it. A few minutes practicing popping up on the board and then it was time to get in the water.
It was a fun, but exhausting experience and I have since purchased my own surfboard. I may not be shredding anything, but I’m going out and getting tossed around like a champ.
*we had the surf school take our pictures, since a go pro isn’t in my bag yet; neither is a waterproof housing.
